Hi Clayton,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Your eagerly anticipated Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner, and I am so excited for you!
My family recently enjoyed several days of delicious fun on the Disney Dining Plan, and then added a few extra days with a room-only reservation, just as you are describing.. It worked out so well for us! Your Disney Dining Plan entitlements are available until midnight on the check-out day of your package that included the Dining Plan. This means that you can still use any remaining entitlements that final day, when you’ve checked out of the package reservation and into the room-only portion of your stay, but they turn into a pumpkin at midnight. We really liked having that whole last day to use up our remaining entitlements, and found ourselves having a really fun day of stuffing ourselves with snacks. Just keep in mind you will not have any Disney Dining Plan entitlements for the rest of your room-only reservation.
Clayton, if you have extra Quick-Service entitlements that are going to disappear, be sure to visit a shop like the Main Street Confectionery, where you can load up on treats for the rest of your trip, or to take home. My family was able to convert one Quick-Service entitlement into three snacks; just ask a Cast Member for help. You are able to
track your Disney Dining Plan entitlements in the My Disney Experience app, so keep an eye on your balance so can be sure to use every delicious entitlement.
One last tip: did you know that many Quick-Service locations participate in
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering via My Disney Experience? We loved this easy and time-saving trick and I hope you do too!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
