My soon to be husband and I are planning a trip to WDW in February 2014. If our budget allows it I thought of getting the premium dining plan option. With all the options included with this plan do you think it would be overwhelming for first time visitors

First of all congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  It is great you are looking ahead to plan a wonderful Disney vacation together.

The one point I always like to have guests to consider when choosing a dining plan is how much do they normally eat at home. The premium plan is perfect for those guests who want to sit down and eat three meals a day. If you hope to do a lot of signature dining or character dining you can use your credits for these as they are two credit options. It is indeed a lot of food during a Disney stay and we have done this in the past with our family. I think we all rolled home with a few added inches but it was great feeling pampered!

The recreation and tour options also make this plan very special. First time visitors however, will want to spend most of their time in the parks to really explore them and get to know all about the magic. You might find that you just don't have the time to take a horseback ride or one of the fun tours at this time. If your vacation is going to last over a week you will find added time but if you only going to be there for five days or so I would concentrate on the park visits over the add ons. You can always see where your budget takes you and perhaps choose one option to pay for on your own.

Financially speaking you might be best to just come and visit for the first time. The Premium Plan is a wonderful plan and something many guests wish they could do. This certainly could be put on the bucket list for visit number two when you have your Disney ears in place and know the ropes!
