Welcome BACK, Laura!
We're excited to see you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, but I'm also very excited that for your Holiday return to Walt Disney World Resort! Everything from Cinderella Castle to the foodservice plates and cups get a magical Holiday makeover. And lucky for us, that make over starts halloween night!
The very first park to make the transition from fall to winter is Disney's Hollywood Studios. Elves and Cast Members work from the time the park sees its last guest until just before opening to put away all of the fall decor and start spreading out the tinsel. Here's a really fun
Disney Parks Blog post about Disney's Hollywood Studio Holiday transition, complete with a really neat behind the scenes video!
Disney's other Theme Parks, Resort Hotels and Disney Springs do start their holiday makeovers in early November, but they usually aren't completely finished decking their halls and walls and food kiosk stalls until closer to Thanksgiving. Here's a really neat
timelapse video of the 2017 holiday transition of these guest spaces into winter wonderlands.
While Magic Kingdom may look super chilly and snowy, everyday during the holiday season leading up until the week before Christmas are still Disney Days as usual with the regularly scheduled Festival of Fantasy 3 O'Clock parade. To enjoy the Once Upon A Christmastime Parade before Christmas day, you would need to purchase a special event ticket to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
I hope this helped, Laura!
