How soon can you book a vacation? Are you able to do it online, or do you have to call DRC? Looking ahead to Oct or Nov 2015. Wanted this year, but since inside dining resv window, already too booked up to feel we'd truly enjoy for the cost.

    Hi, April!

Welcome, and thanks for your great question. I’m glad you’re already thinking about your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort next year! October or November would be a great time to visit the resort.

You can reserve accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel up to 499 days in advance by calling (407) W-DISNEY (934-7639). As you may have noticed, you can currently and book rooms through the Walt Disney World website for check-in dates up to and including Dec. 31, 2014 only. To reserve dates in 2015, you must call instead. As of now, you can only reserve a hotel room, not packages that include extras like park tickets or the Disney Dining Plan, for travel dates next year. You can still reserve a room now at the 2014 rate, but when the rates and package details for 2015 are released in a couple months (usually in August), your rate will be automatically adjusted to reflect the current prices. You can also make a room-only reservation to be converted into a vacation package after next year’s rates are announced.

I hope this helps, April, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted Walt Disney World Resort visit! Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
