How soon can I book the new ride pass sorry don’t remember what it’s called

    Hi Denise,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!

I’d be more than happy to walk you through Disney Genie+ Service! First, let’s confirm a few things.

First, you want to make sure that all your guests have their Theme Park tickets linked in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you’re signed into the app, you’ll want to select the three lines in the lower right-hand corner, then under “Tickets and Passes”, you should see all the Theme Park tickets for your trip. If you haven’t already purchased your Theme Park tickets, you’ll want to do so because tickets are dependent on the next steps.

Next, you’ll want to confirm that you each have Disney Park Pass reservations. Remember, a Disney Park Pass is needed in addition to the Theme Park ticket for each member of your party for every day of your trip. If you haven’t already created these reservations, select the “+” symbol in the bar at the bottom of the My Disney Experience mobile app (two buttons to the right of the “home” button). Next, select “Make a Park Reservation” then select “Theme Park Tickets”. This will take you to the Theme Park Reservation page where you will view a calendar and select your Disney Park Pass reservations.

Once the above steps are done, you can start the process for Disney Genie+ Service! In the My Disney Experience mobile app, select the three lines in the lower right-hand corner, then select the box titled “My Genie Day”. Next, under the “My Day” tab, in the top right corner you’ll want to select “Change Day” and select the day that you want to have Disney Genie+. Once the correct day is selected, you should see the date appear in the upper left-hand corner. Next, select “Get Disney Genie+ for Today” in the purple bar in the middle of the screen. Then tap “Get Disney Genie+ Service”. Continue through the payment process and you’ll be all set to unleash the Genie!

At 7:00 a.m. on the day(s) you have Disney Genie+, you can select your party’s first Lightning Lane. In the “My Genie Day” section under the “Tip Board” tab, you’ll see the selections for Disney Genie+ Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lanes (separate purchase necessary). I suggest booking the earliest available Lightning Lane for your favorite attractions. For Disney Genie+, the next time you can book again will either be once you’ve tapped into your first Lightning Lane attraction or two hours after Theme Park opening, whichever comes first!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation this May. If you have any other vacation or planning questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
