How soon in advance do I need to buy tickets ? We are staying offsite but plan to buy them right from the official Disney website ?

    Hi Nicole!

I am so excited to help you plan your trip! The biggest reason you will want to buy your tickets early prior to your trip is so you can make your FastPass+ reservations. This will allow you to make three reservations to some of the most popular attractions, Character experiences and entertainment events at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Each Guest can make three advanced FastPass+ reservations per day. When you use your FastPass+ reservation for an attraction or Character experience, you will be able to utilize the FastPass+ queue and bypass the Standby queue, which generally saves you quite a bit of time!

Since you will be a day Guest and will not be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can begin making your FastPass+ reservations 30 days in advance. FastPass+ availability is limited, particularly for the most popular attractions and events. I suggest that you purchase your theme park tickets prior to the start of your 30 day reservation window. Since you will be purchasing your tickets directly from the Walt Disney World Resort website, they will automatically link to your My Disney Experience account. Once tickets are linked to your account and your window opens, you can start scheduling your FastPass+ reservations. When I am making FastPass+ reservations, it helps me to have a plan of "must-do's" for each member of my family so I can be sure everyone gets a chance to experience the things at the top of their lists!

Let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
