Will soon be able to make dining reservations. I have a quick question. Have DDP and noticed that some restaurants have Prix Fixe menus. Does the basic plan cover these meals even though an appetizer is included? Love the Mom's Panel.

Hi Annette! First of all, thanks for the love sent to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel via your question! We truly enjoy sprinkling a little bit of extra pixie dust on each individual guest's vacation!

You are more than welcome to select a prix fixe option when dining on the basic Disney Dining Plan. As a matter of fact, I see this as an excellent opportunity to maximize your table-service credits because you'll typically receive an appetizer in addition to the main entree and dessert. However, you will want to keep in mind that there are no substitutions and you must order the meal options exactly as stated on the menu.

On a previous trip, my son selected a prix fixe dinner at the Kona Cafe in Disney's Polynesian Resort and raved about the Pot Stickers appetizer for the remainder of our trip!

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and please feel free to send more questions my way!
