Hi Chris, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Spending time at one of the Walt Disney World golf courses sounds like the practically perfect break from the theme parks! So let’s get you some answers so you’ll be all set for your holiday next week!
I just chatted with a Cast Member at Walt Disney World Golf, and they confirmed that a bucket of golf balls for the driving range currently costs $12. The bucket will have about 65 to 75 balls. You don’t need advance reservations, but you may want to
call in the morning from your resort hotel room to make sure that none of the driving ranges are down for maintenance.
There are driving ranges at both
Magnolia Golf Course and
Palm Golf Course. And if you’re looking for other activities that are shorter and more casual than a full 18 holes,
Oak Trail Golf Course has a 9-hole walking course, as well as a
FootGolf course with soccer balls!
Now let’s talk about logistics. For getting to the driving range, there’s
complimentary taxi transportation between Disney resort hotels and the Walt Disney World golf courses. Just call Guest Services from your room or visit the front desk to make transportation arrangements.
And finally, the
dress code requires guests to wear golf-appropriate attire. This includes a collared golf shirt and slacks, Bermuda-length shorts, or capri pants. Skirts and skorts are also allowed. It’s ultimately up to the Cast Members’ discretion, but examples of attire that’s not appropriate include clothing with objectionable material (like obscene language or graphics), excessively torn clothing, denim, and outfits that expose excessive portions of the skin.
Be sure to allocate time before or after the driving range to check out the Pro Shops! They have a fun collection of Disney-themed golf gear and clothing. I love browsing and buying a few unique souvenirs to bring home!
