Hi there! My son's #1 priority is the Jedi training at DHS...that is the main reason we are visiting the park - going in October this year - Any advice on how to get an early spot for our 2 children? Specifics would be well appreciated! Thank you!

    Hello, Devone!

My boys always have a 'wish list' each time we visit Walt Disney World. I can understand how important it is to make sure your young Padawan gets into the Jedi Training Academy! I have been able to accomplish this mission and I would love to share with you my tactics.

You need to get to the ABC Sound studio as soon as you can that day. Make sure your young Padawan is with you! I recommend getting to Disney's Hollywood Studios early, before the park opens, so you are as close to the front gates as possible. Then, as soon as you are allowed into the park, your primary focus is to head quickly to the ABC Sound studio. Do not let anything derail your mission! I would suggest getting a Park Map ahead of time so you can chart your course and are familiar with the territory. Once you arrive, you will enter a queue. Guests are then asked, in order of arrival, to sign up for a time slot. Your Jedi-in-training will be asked a few questions to make sure he is willing and able to defend the Galaxy. Mission accomplished!

An alternative to this plan would be to get a pre-park opening breakfast reservation at Hollywood & Vine. You would need to make sure that your reservation would be early enough that you would be finished with your meal in time to make it to the ABC Sound studio area.

May the force be with you, Devone!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
