Hello, Elizabeth!
Welcome to planDisney! Sailing on a Disney Cruise in November is such a magical way to kick off the holiday season! I sailed on a
Very Merrytime Cruise with my planDisney friends, and we loved every moment. Even if your voyage isn’t holiday‑themed, you’re still in for an incredible experience.
I took a look at the
Passports, Visas & Documentation page to review the current requirements for round‑trip sailings to The Bahamas. At this time, a valid U.S. passport is accepted. While many destinations require passports to be valid for at least six months beyond travel dates, that guideline is not currently listed for these round‑trip Bahamian itineraries.
Since policies can change from time to time, you might consider bringing your son’s original, state‑issued birth certificate as a backup (and a government‑issued photo ID if he’s over 15), or simply keep an eye on the Documentation page for updates. Getting him a new passport is another option, though I know the process can be a bit of a hassle, especially for kids!
As your Embarkation Day gets closer, start making a list of your must‑do Port Adventures and onboard activities. These open during your
booking window, which is typically 75 days before sailing for first‑time Guests. My personal priorities are brunch at
Palo and a
beverage tasting seminar with my spouse, plus a royal makeover at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for my youngest kiddo. If your cruise includes
Pirate Night, they often offer pirate‑themed makeovers too!
Elizabeth, I hope your Disney Cruise Line vacation is filled with laughter, relaxation, and unforgettable moments! Don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if more questions arise.
Happy sailing!
Jen
