Hiya, Hana!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Can you believe that you're just a few days away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort? Before you know it, you'll be standing in front of Cinderella Castle, surrounded by all the excitement of
The World's Most Magical Celebration –– I can't wait for you and your family to experience all the festivities! If this is your son's first visit, or if you're celebrating something special, be sure to stop by any
Walt Disney World Guest Relations location and pick up a complimentary first visit button. You can even sprinkle it with a little extra pixie dust by visiting
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom Park to have it personalized by an artist –– it's the perfect souvenir to bring home with you!
I'm happy to report that I have good news –– your son won't need to show his passport or any form of ID to enter Walt Disney World theme parks. As long as he has valid park admission and a
Disney Park Pass reservation for that day linked to his ticket, he'll be able to enter the park with no problem, even if the name on his ticket doesn't match his passport. However, if you choose to update his name, you can easily do so right from the
My Disney Experience mobile app. To do this, select "My Profile" at the bottom of the main menu page and tap on "Family & Friends List". On the next screen, tap your son's name and then select "Update Info". This will allow you to change basic information –– including his name, age, and birthdate –– without changing any of the tickets or reservations linked to his name.
I really appreciate you bringing your question to planDisney, Hana. I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with magic around every turn!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
