Hello! My son's MagicBand strap is broken. Can we purchase a new MagicBand to him and assugn it to him?

    Welcome to planDisney, Jen!

What a great question! The short answer is yes, guests may have multiple MagicBands linked to their My Disney Experience account. For directions on how to activate a new band, check out this link to MagicBands & Cards - Frequently Asked Questions. There, you'll be directed to manage your MagicBands in your account; you can deactivate the broken band while adding the new one.

The enhanced version of MagicBand--called MagicBand+--is readily available both online as well as when you arrive at a park or a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. These add a super-fun interactive element that might surprise your son as you tour the parks. Be on the lookout for those magical moments. They make me smile every time!

We often bring a MagicBand or two that coordinate with the season: red or green for a visit to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or something spring-like when touring the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. You might just find a new band favorite for everyone in your family. Have fun choosing one for your son!

As you plan your visit to Walt Disney World, Jen, be sure to send your additional questions our way. We love to help!
