My son's login to his Disney account has the wrong birthdate for him. He is unable to change it (non-editable field). He is 15, but he shows up as 18 when I share our upcoming plans in myDisneyExperience. How can we update his birthdate?

    Hi, Lauren! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh my gingerbread! Your holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is just around the corner! How excited are you right now? You'll be in the middle of the magic before you know it!

I'm so sorry your son's My Disney Experience account seems to have recorded his "unbirthday." If your son is anything like mine, he's probably in a big hurry to get older and doesn't mind being mistaken for 18! But we parents just wish our guys could stay little forever, right? If you manage him in your account, you can change it there, but since it sounds like he has his own account, there isn't a way to make that change yourself. That means you'll need to get in touch with a Cast Member in Guest Relations at the number listed for "My Disney Experience and MagicBands." Just a heads-up, hold times have been pretty long recently as the Cast Member elves have been helping lots of Guests. If you don't mind putting it off a little longer, I'd just wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World and pop into a Guest Relations location there for help in setting things right. It shouldn't take too long to do in person, and it will definitely beat waiting on the phone. In the meantime, I don't think your son's age being incorrect in the account will affect any of your plans.

I hope this helps you finalize those magical plans! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, Lauren! I wish your family a jolly holiday season, and an amazing vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
