    My sons will be 10 & 13 when we go to Disney World. To save money and not waste food, I'd like to have them order from the kids menu when available. Is Disney strict on the under 9 years policy or can we order and pay from the kids menu?

    I think it's great that you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your boys in the near future! It's going to be such an amazing trip and it's great that you have already begun your planning and budgeting! These are the keys to a successful trip, so I'm happy to hear you're on the ball! 

    The dining policy does state that the children's menus are reserved for those between the ages of 3 and 9 years old but I have seen situations where this policy has been a bit lenient.  I cannot guarantee that your older children will be permitted to order kids meals, but you should definitely explain the circumstances to your server and I can assure you they will do everything they can to accommodate you.  I have traveled with a 10 year old who was a picky eater, and it was never an issue for him to order off the children's menu, especially since he was just over the "child" age limit.  As I said before, I can't make any promises, due to the official policy, but I do encourage you to let the servers know and see what they can do to assist!

    ***Also, at Quick/Counter Service locations, anyone can order a children's meal, so please keep that in mind as a way to save money just in case they want to order from the adult menu at the Table Service locations.
