If my sons friend is 19 checking into a resort is a 17 year old allowed to be a guest with them in the room?

Welcome to planDisney, Heather! I'm so glad you stopped by! I genuinely love answering questions for guests who are planning their next magical vacation.

The minimum age to make a Disney Resort hotel reservation and check in is 18. A credit card in the name of the reservation holder is required. There is no age limit for the other guests in the room.

There are many benefits to staying on Disney property, including being immersed in the magic. One of my favorite perks is the complimentary transportation. Whether it's by bus or by boat, on the Disney Skyliner or the monorail, getting to your destination is part of the fun! I love being able to park my van in the resort parking lot and not giving it a second thought until that dreaded day when I check out and head home.

I have kids ages 17 and 19, and they love Tron Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom Park. It's a high-speed indoor/outdoor roller coaster with motorbike-style ride vehicles based on the Tron movie franchise, and I'll admit - it's a lot of fun. Their other favorite attraction is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. I usually sit this one out, but it's a high-intensity thrill ride with a reverse launch that has different experiences based on the song that plays during your ride.

I hope this helps, Heather! If you have any more questions, please let us know here at planDisney
