Hi Alexandra! Welcome to planDisney!
There is nothing like a first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I vividly remember each of my kids' first visits and can still see the looks of awe and wonder on their little faces. It is so special!
Disney's Animal Kingdom is a GREAT theme park for little ones! It combines wild adventures with Disney magic and there is plenty to do there for all ages. Something that my kids LOVE is the
Wilderness Explorers program. There are stations set up all around the theme park where explorers go to learn interesting facts and collect badges. This has become a favorite for my kiddos and will add some extra magic to your son's day!
Make sure to take the train to Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch (you'll need to head that way to collect badges, anyway!) for some hands-on experiences with a petting zoo area called
Affection Section and a drawing class at
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. I drew a Character from The Fox and the Hound when I tried this class out and it was a blast!
Lastly, make sure to ask for a "First Visit" celebration button (pin). They have them at most merchandise locations and can even write in the names of you and your son as a small souvenir of your special trip!
Enjoy every second, Alexandra! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
