I would like to get my son's first hair cut at the Harmony Barbershop. I know they take walk-ins but so do the restaurants but most are totally booked. How realistic is it to just walk in to get a hair cut? How long of a wait usually for walk-ins.

    Hi, Katie!

What a special experience it is to have your child's first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop! I was on a family vacation earlier this year when my little nephew had his first haircut there and it was such a fun experience that none of us will ever forget!

We didn't have an appointment, in fact, my kids always get their haircuts at the Harmony Barber Shop and we have never actually made an appointment. I know they are definitely available, but sometimes you just want to be footloose and go when it's convenient.

When you walk into the Barber Shop, take a look around and make a mental note of the people that are already waiting. It's very small and often times, there are a lot of people in there. Keep in mind that families often stay together in the small space. Your name doesn't go on a list or anything, it's an on-your-honor type of system and when the next stylist is ready for a Guest, they will simply ask who is next. I have never had a problem because most people waiting do the same and know who came in after them. The most we've ever waited was about 35 minutes.

I hope this helps, Katie! Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question and please don't hesitate to let us know if we can help with any others that you think of!
