My son's Disney themed birthday party will be held not long after our Disney World Trip. Where are the best places in the park to shop for party supplies, stationery, favors, etc.? Thanks for all your help now and in the past!

    Sue:

I can't think of a better year to celebrate a Disney-themed birthday than this year with the "What Will You Celebrate?" theme.

If you you're looking for party favors that you bought at Disney, World of Disney in Downtown Disney and Mouse Gear at Epcot offer the most comprehensive shopping in two places that I have found in my trips to WDW.

However, mom to mom, I have to put my budget ears on for just a minute...

You may first want to check out the popular online party store, www.birthdayexpress.com. They carry Disney party merchandise--and lots of it. For party favors, my favorite store is Dollar Tree. I've found jewelry, crayons, expandable washclothes--many items you could use as birthday favors. And lastly, if you've got a car while you're in Orlando, drive over to the Walmart in Kissimmee off of 535 on Vineland Road. We stopped for a few groceries on our last trip, and was amazed at the Disney merchandise section at the front of the store!

Wishing you a magical vacation--and birthday!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
