Hiya Nate,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your DAS question—and a very merry happy birthday to your son! What a truly magical way to celebrate turning six than at
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! From the moment you walk down Main Street, with the twinkling garlands overhead and the scent of gingerbread in the air, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped straight into a Disney holiday movie.
Now, let’s jingle all the way into your question! You’ll be glad to know that, yes, if your son qualifies for
Disability Access Service (DAS), he can absolutely use it during the event. It works the same way as it does during regular park hours. Simply open your
My Disney Experience app, select the DAS tile, and choose your next attraction. If, for some reason, you don’t see a specific experience listed in the app, no worries—just speak to a friendly Cast Member (they’re the elves of the
Magic Kingdom, always ready to help!). In fact, something similar happened with my mother-in-law during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and the Cast Member sprinkled a little extra pixie dust to make everything right.
While you’re celebrating, don’t forget to pick up a Happy Birthday button for your son. Cast Members love to spread extra cheer when they spot one—it’s incredible how many birthday wishes you’ll hear as you explore the park!
And before your trip, I highly recommend checking out the
Disney Parks Blog. It’s full of merry details about the exclusive party treats, merchandise, and entertainment so you can make the most of your holly-jolly evening.
Nate, I hope this helps you feel prepared for your magical Christmas celebration. If you have any additional questions, feel free to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
