My son's 5th birthday is March 3rd 2015. I am tentatively planning our family trip to be the 2nd thru 7th. Do you think the crowds will be heavy or will we beat the spring break crowd going that first week of March?

    Hi Ashley,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I am happy to help you begin to plan your magical vacation!

I think that you have chosen a great week to visit Walt Disney World.  In early March you should experience temperatures that are not as hot as the peak of summer, but are starting to warm up from January and February.  You may be starting to see some Spring Break crowds at that time, but I would bet that it is the very beginning of Spring Break season, so it should not yet be too crowded.  Spring Break crowds tend to peak around Easter, since that is when most school districts have Spring Break.  Since Easter is on April 5, 2015, you are well ahead of that time.  I would guess that the crowds will be moderate that first week of March 2015 - not empty, but not terribly crowded.

When I am looking for predictions of crowd levels at Walt Disney World, I like to visit the unofficial website touringplans.com.  For a low price, you can see their predictions of crowd levels for up to a year.

Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, Ashley, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
