For my son's 5th bday we are planning a to take him to WDW. With him just turning 5 should I plan on one park per day or try to stretch certain parks for more than one day so that he can enjoy everything and not feel rushed?

Hi there, Cristin! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

My daughter will be turning 5 years old in a matter of days so I know your son is going to have an amazingly magical time celebrating his birthday at the Most Magical Place on Earth! When we visit the Walt Disney World Resort, we have found that some parks we visit for just one day and others we usually return to for two or three days during our vacation. For Magic Kingdom Park, I would definitely recommend planning at least two full days there. My daughter likes spending the majority of the time here because she loves all the different characters you can meet and it has all her favorite attractions.

With so much to explore at all the different theme parks, I would absolutely suggest pacing yourselves so you don't feel rushed. I would also plan on scheduling some time for naps or swimming at the hotel. My daughter rarely naps at home anymore, but we find that a bit of rest is a necessity on a Disney Parks vacation. This keeps everyone's energy up and gives us an extra boost to return to the parks in the evening for dinner and nighttime entertainment

I hope this information was helpful. If you would like any more tips about traveling to the parks with a 5-year-old or if you have any other questions, please stop by again!
