Hiya Carol,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for your great question! I have a lot of experience with this particular topic. We are honored that you continue leveraging us when planning your visits to Disney Parks.
Even though I’m the designated planner for my family and my name is almost always the “primary” on the resort reservations, my Prince Charming loves to help me book our advanced dining reservations. The great news is that since we share plans through the
Family and Friends list, I add both of our names to the reservation as Guests, and I link the reservation to our
My Disney Experience accounts; both of us can make advanced dining reservations! So when your son makes your reservation, he needs to do the following so that you can make length-of-stay reservations and all the
additional benefits of your resort stay:
1. Adds each Guest’s name to the resort room reservation.
2. Links the reservation to his My Disney Experience account using the confirmation number.
3. Links your My Disney Experience account to the reservation. Note that you must be connected through the Family and Friends list to do this.
I hope this was helpful, Carol. Before I let you go, I wanted to share my favorite part of staying at Walt Disney World Swan—proximity. I know plenty of walking will occur during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, but one of my most relaxing walks occurs when I stroll from Walt Disney World Swan along
Disney’s Boardwalk to EPCOT. We chat about our plans for the day and our favorite parts of the day prior and take a breath before we step into the Theme Parks. It is a great reset for me and my family each day. Please come back and see
me if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
