My son will be 8yrs old when we arrive. He has special educational needs and I know he will struggle walking all day. To prevent unnecessary meltdowns, can we hire carts or anything he can sit in so we can push him around. I don't want him to struggle

    Hi Leanne,

Thanks so much for stopping by.  How exciting that you have a Walt Disney World vacation planned.  You will find that many young children who have long outgrown traditional strollers will still opt to sit in one (at least occasionally) in the theme parks where lots of walking is inevitable.  When my boys were your son's age, we still rented a stroller for some shade and an occasional break from walking. The strollers available to rent inside the theme parks can accommodate older children and are very easy to push and negotiate around the parks.  Another option, is renting a double stroller, which will give your son a bit of extra room.  (The bench is open with no divider, so he can easily spread out.)  Currently, the cost of a single stroller is $13 per day and for a double stroller is $27 per day. There are also some independent stroller rental companies that will deliver and pick up a stroller at your resort.  They have many options, including jogging-type strollers that can easily accommodate an older child. Two such organizations are:
     - Magic Strollers: (866) 866-6177
     - Kingdom Strollers: (407) 271-5301
