My son (7 years old) suffer pollen allergy (to grass) during the spring in Madrid (Spain) and I wonder if May is a problematic month to go to Orlando in this sense. Could you inform me about this question please. How's the weather in Orlando?, thank you!

    Hi Isabel!
The majority of allergies in Orlando in May are usually grass and tree pollen.  The most common tree pollen is Elm, Juniper, and Cedar.  My family struggles with allergies and lives in Northern Indiana and rarely have a problem when they come to Walt Disney World.  Since you live in Madrid, your grass pollen is very different from the United States.  I would suspect your son will not have many allergies in Orlando as he does in your hometown.  To be safe, I would bring his allergy medicines with you.  If you forget, you can always buy some Zyrtec or Claritin tablets to take daily at one of the stores to help him with the potential symptoms.  Honestly, I find that when you travel across the United States that many people do not react as strongly due to the fact that their bodies haven't been exposed to the "new" allergens.  May weather is fantastic in Orlando.  The highs are usually in the 80's and lows down to the mid 60's.  I would definitely bring sunscreen and sunglasses.   I hope you have a wonderful vacation, Isabel.
