Hi there, Omar! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
First of all, thank you for reaching out with such an important question. I certainly appreciate you considering the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members when making your plans to visit the Disneyland Resort.
Current health and safety measures do not require Guests to be fully vaccinated, though it is strongly encouraged by both the Disneyland Resort and the State of California. This is true of both theme parks and the
Downtown Disney District. No one in your party will be asked to show proof of vaccination to enter.
Face coverings are strongly recommended for all Guests, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings are optional in outdoor areas but will be required for all Guests in designated indoor locations, including
Disneyland Shuttles and
First Aid locations and other health settings. Be sure all Guests in your party have a mask handy during your visit!
Omar, your eight-year-old son may love exploring
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. With two thrilling rides in
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, he's exactly the right age to take in all the planet of Batuu has to offer! You may even consider making a reservation at the
Droid Depot, where he can build his own Astromech Droid Unit to take along with him throughout the park. If you want to be the coolest parent of the year, you can even download the
Play Disney Parks App to give him some extra interactive experiences while waiting in attraction queues or interacting with wandering droids!
Thanks again for your question, Omar! I hope this is the magical beginning to a memorable family trip at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Ka-Chow!
Ashley
