My son will be 2 years and 10 months during our cruise in June. I was allowed to register him for the youth program on the cruise website. Is there a strict birthday cutoff for the youth program or is potty training the only requirement?

    Welcome Aboard, Eileen!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question!

We get lots of questions regarding the age cutoffs for young cruisers, so Disney Cruise Line recently released this official statement regarding the Youth Clubs:

    Disney's Oceaneer Club/Lab - Ages 3 - 12*

    Edge - Ages 11 - 14

    Vibe - Ages 14 - 17

*All children must be 3 years of age or older and potty trained (able to use the restroom independently) in order to participate in the Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab. Children 3 years of age (who are not fully potty trained) and younger may visit Flounders Reef Nursery onboard the Disney Wonder, or “It's A Small World” nursery onboard the Disney Magic, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

So, the official word is that a child must be three years of age or older to participate in Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab activities. I hope this helps answer your question!
