Ahoy, Julie!
Your tween sounds like he will have loads of fun no matter where he goes onboard a Disney Cruise Ship. His day at Castaway Cay will definitely be a fun one too. At this age, my son likes to explore by himself around
Castaway Cay... it feels like an adventure for them and their new friends. He should definitely check out the Tween/Teen spaces while on the island. In Da Shade will be a place that he'll want to check out.
While still onboard, you'll want to check out the
Vibe and see if he might want to spend more time in there. At 13, you will have the option of requesting him to 'age up' to allow him to participate in the Vibe 's 14-17 year old activities. You'll need to sign a Parental Consent form and discuss his situation and interests with one of the Youth Counselors at the Vibe. He'll also love exploring while at the
Edge. On embarkation day, there will be an Open House for all youth clubs. He can take this time to checkout both youth clubs.
There's a lot of fun things to do for families
Sailing with Tweens & Teens onboard the Disney Cruise Line.
Have a magical voyage, Julie!
