Hi Filitsa Maria,
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to hEAR that your son wrote a letter to Mickey Mouse!
Mickey and the letter writing team are great at responding, so I trust that your postcard will be there soon. It has been quite a busy time of year, however, and could take weeks for your son's response to arrive. Double-check to make sure you sent it to the
correct address. And be sure to record the moment when your son receives it. Magical mail is the best!
There are a few other ways to create some magic for him if and when you visit. Many of us on the planDisney panel have done a special reveal or scavenger hunt to let our kiddos know of a surprise trip. My fellow panelist Andres shared a super sweet story on
D23's Destination Tomorrow describing how he and his wife surprised their little ones with a trip.
On past trips to the Walt Disney World Resort, we have also arranged for a special birthday call from Goofy. If you visit, be sure to contact
Front Desk Services at your resort hotel to arrange and/or confirm the call. I just spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that they still do birthday calls as well as anniversary and honeymoon calls. Even my husband was tickled to get a call on his birthday one year when we were celebrating at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It sounds as if you are a definite planner, so I do hope you consider
celebrating a special day with your son soon at the Walt Disney World Resort - perhaps the post card could be the start of the surprise adventure?
Sending some pixie dust your way and best wishes for receiving that signed post card with
Incredible speed!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
