Hi Caroline, welcome to
planDisney! I’m happy to provide some information and pixie-dusted ideas about connecting with the Disney friends we all know and love.
It’s truly special that your son wrote a letter to his favorite Character. I can imagine how wonderful it must have been to see him dream up the perfect message. Mickey and his pals receive letters from Guests all around the world, and while they cherish each one, it’s important to remember that a response isn’t guaranteed.
Caroline, if your son is up for writing another letter, why not send one to
Mickey Mouse? A great tip is to enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope, though a response is still not guaranteed. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who recommended this address for sending letters to Characters:
(Character Name)
Disneyland Resort
1313 Disneyland Drive
Anaheim, CA 92802
Caroline, did you know there are working mailboxes located inside the theme parks at the
Disneyland Resort? During your next visit, you can bring a stamp and drop off your letter or postcard – just make sure it's not time-sensitive. And, of course, there are plenty of opportunities to
meet beloved characters in person throughout the parks. It might be fun for your son to have an autograph book or even a unique item for characters to sign, like a backpack, poster, or reusable water bottle. It’s a great way to bring home a little extra magic! There's also
character dining, where you can enjoy a delicious meal while saying "hey howdy hey" to Disney friends.
Caroline, I wish I could use the power of a magic wand to tell you whether or not a response from your son's original letter is on the way. There's still a chance it could arrive! Either way, I like to think his words felt like a warm hug to the reader.
If you have any other questions, please come back anytime. We at
planDisney are always happy to help.
You've got a friend in me,
Kriss
