Hello I have a son who won’t be 2 yet when we visit Disney California is he required to wear a mask? And does a guest require to show proof of vaccination or negative test? Are outside food or drinks allowed to bring outside water or snacks for children ?

Hello fellow, Arizonan, and welcome to planDisney, Kristina. Oh Boy! It sounds like you are in full planning mode. Hakuna Matata, I’m more than happy to help answer any questions you may have. Let’s begin with your Mouseketeer.

Guests, ages 2 and older, who are not fully vaccinated must continue wearing face coverings indoors, except when dining. Since your son is not yet 2 years old, he will not have to wear a face covering. Guests visiting will also not be required to prove their vaccination however, the State of California strongly recommends that all Guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test before entering the Disneyland Resort.

When it comes to packing snacks for your Younglings, go ahead and do so. When my family visits, I usually pack a park bag for the kids to have in the Theme Park. I fill it with their favorite snacks, a change of clothes, a few water bottles, and any other essentials we may need. My husband and I usually carry in our reusable water bottles and hang them from our stroller to have throughout the day. I also recommend taking a look at the Property Rules as you pack for your visit. It’s just a quick way to double check that what you are wanting to bring, is acceptable.

I hope all this answers your questions, Kristina. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help. And don’t forget to schedule your park reservations!

    See ya real soon!

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
