My son and his wife's annual passes are on my Disney account with my annual pass. How do I get them off my Disney account on to their Disney account?

Welcome to planDisney, William! Thank you for stopping by with your question. It’s wonderful to hear that you and your family are enjoying your Annual Passes and making the most of the magic at Walt Disney World Resort! I’d be happy to help you with transferring your son and daughter-in-law’s Annual Passes from your account to theirs so everyone can easily manage their own plans and experiences.

If your son and his wife’s Annual Passes are currently on your My Disney Experience account, you can transfer them to their own accounts fairly easily. First, they’ll each need to have their own Disney accounts. If they don’t already, they can create one by going to the Disney World website and selecting “Create Account.”

Once they have their own accounts, log in to your Disney account and open your Family & Friends List. Find your son and daughter-in-law’s profiles. If it says “Managed by me” next to their names, that means you created those profiles and currently control them. To give them ownership, they’ll need to connect those profiles to their new accounts.

They can do this by logging into their accounts, going to their Family & Friends List, and adding a guest. When prompted, they should enter the same name and age that appear on your account. Disney’s system will recognize that these profiles already exist and ask if they want to connect to the existing plans. Once both sides accept, the profiles will link to their accounts, along with their Annual Passes and any park plans attached.

When the process is complete, your Family & Friends List will show that their profiles are “Managed by [their name]” instead of “Managed by me.” They’ll then be able to view and manage their passes and reservations in their own accounts.

If anything doesn’t transfer correctly or the connection doesn’t work, call Disney’s App Support. A Cast Member can merge the accounts and make sure everything moves over properly.

William, I hope this helps make the process of transferring your son and daughter-in-law’s Annual Passes smooth and stress-free. Once everything is linked to their own accounts, they’ll be able to fully enjoy planning their Disney days, from making Lightning Lane selections to personalizing their park experiences. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. Wishing you and your family many more magical visits filled with laughter, unforgettable moments, and a sprinkle of pixie dust every step of the way!
