Hi, Cheryl! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I'm so excited to hEAR that your son and daughter-in-law will be celebrating their birthdays at the Walt Disney World Resort! It is so thoughtful of you to want to add a little extra pixie dust to their trip by sending them with some spending money.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests may use their
MagicBands to charge purchases to their resort hotel room; however, money cannot be added directly to a MagicBand. If you'd like to send your son and his wife on their vacation with additional spending money, I would suggest purchasing a
Disney Gift Card.
Disney Gift Cards may be purchased online or through many local retailers. Most Walt Disney World Resort
shops and
dining locations accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment. If your son and his wife prefer the convenience of charging purchases to their MagicBands, they may use a Disney Gift Card toward their balance at their Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Just tell them to visit the front desk at their resort hotel the evening before they check out to have that taken care of.
For all types of magical in-room celebrations, you will want to contact
Disney Floral & Gifts. I spent my birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort a few years ago. On my special day, my parents surprised me by having a bouquet of Mickey-shaped Rice Krispie treats delivered to my resort hotel room. This thoughtful gift really made my day, and I am sure your son and daughter-in-law will feel the same way about any surprises you might arrange for them.
Be sure to tell your son and daughter-in-law to pick up some complimentary "Happy Birthday" buttons at their Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or any
Guest Relations location. You never know what kind of pixie dust will be sprinkled on you when you wear those buttons. I hope they have the most magical birthday celebration ever!
