My 6 yo son is wheelchair bound and cannot stand. How do we go about getting him on rides where there is a height restriction? I have a doctors note that states how tall he is but will that be enough?

    Hello, Andrea!

My son is in a wheelchair/push stroller with very limited standing so I can tell you from experience that Walt Disney World Resort strives to help families navigate the parks with ease. You will need to visit any theme park Guest Relations Lobby your first park day to request Disability Assistance Service (DAS). A Cast Member will be able to note your son's height via the DAS as well as assist in offering other help that is specific to your son's needs. Although a doctor's note is not required, I suggest bringing it, as it may be helpful to the Cast Member in this instance. The DAS is electronically associated with your theme park media (MagicBands or ticket cards) so be sure that all members of your party are present when you request it. Also, the DAS is good for the length of your visit at all four theme parks.

I hope this helps, Andrea. Please let me know if you have questions about using DAS other questions about your upcoming visit. I'm happy to help!

    Have a magical day!
