Hello. My son wears hearing aids. and he has his own device that uses bluetooth to hook up to external devices wirelessly. Would he be able to use that device at the attractions, or does he need to use the device that is supplied by Guest Services?

    Hi there, Anita!

I am happy to help with your question, as I also have two children who wear hEARing aids!  Feel free to write back to me with further information if you would like to do so.  First, are you referring to a bluetooth FM system?  Does it require specific technology to be in place for use?  If not,  I do not see any reason why your son would not be able to use it.  Also, what is your son's degree of hearing loss?  In some tones, my children are severe.  Even so, they have generally found the sound in most attractions to be okay with the use of their hearing aids.   At select theater-style attractions, reflective captioning is available.  My kids love that the most.  Stop by Guest Relations where cast members can assist you with the various hearing services available throughout the Walt Disney World property.  Please remember to bring a container to keep aids dry on water rides like Splash Mountain.  We always carry Ziploc bags and have the kids hand us their hearing aids just before boarding the attraction(s).

Feel free to let me know if I can assist you further, Anita.

I wish you and your family a truly magic vacation.
