Bright Suns, Amanda!
Thank you for bringing this question to us as you prepare to visit Batuu. Resistance forces will be thrilled to hear that you are bringing reinforcements to join the cause!
You are correct in your assessment of the lightsaber building process at
Savi's Workshop. At this time, each builder can bring one guest. Having said that, the Gatherers have encountered this dilemma. When you arrive, I suggest that you ask if there is space available for an additional guest. The Gatherers' response may depend on how many other builders have guests. Since space is incredibly limited and your daughter may not be allowed to join as a guest, I strongly suggest that you have a backup plan. If reservations are still open and it fits within your budget, you can sign-up to build a lightsaber for yourself or your daughter could build.
On our last stop on Batuu, we built lightsabers. My girls are the same age as your son but there were other children building who were probably the age of your daughter. I was encouraged by the number of girls committed to the cause. Their lightsabers were fierce and training impeccable. Fighting for the Resistance has long been a dream of our girls. On several occasions, they joined
Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. At the time, their lightsaber skills needed much work. Their training journey has been arduous but they have been diligent.
Rest assured, we admire your persistence and understand that transport to Batuu can be costly. So, do check with the Gatherers at Savi's Workshop as soon as you arrive. One last thought, be sure to reserve space at
Oga's Cantina. Our girls ordered the Carbon Freeze and watched, mesmerized by the other travelers we encountered.
Amanda, wishing you safe adventures as your younglings choose their path!
Good journey,
Donyell
