My son is wanting to eat at the sci-fi dine theater. Do you need reservations to eat here or can you walk up. I tried to get a reservations, but it seems they are booked.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Teri, we thank you for this delicious question!

Dining at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant has to be one of the most uniquely themed experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. Where else can you enjoy American cuisine while watching sci-fi movie clips in a ‘50s-style drive-in “theater”?

Advance Dining Reservations open up 180 days before your scheduled arrival, Teri, which may explain why this most popular dining venue is currently booked. My experience when in a similar situation is to check back periodically in the event of cancellations, right up until the day of. I, personally, would not risk any potential disappointment for a walk-up request. You may also wish to consult your Disney Resort hotel Lobby Concierge who may assist you with a dining reservation. Teri, what about an earlier seating, where you may have better luck and you would still be able to savor those House-smoked St. Louis-style Pork Ribs or Specialty Burgers.

Have you heard about the classic ‘50’s Prime Time Café where you can also enjoy American comfort food in a ‘50s style, cozy atmosphere of Mom’s kitchen? This fun restaurant is also located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for your convenience.

Teri, we hope you'll enjoy your immersion in the world of television, movies, music and theatre during your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and wish you every success in securing your dining reservation at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant!
