    My son (9) and I are visiting WDW Nov.15-23. We are staying at The Fantasy World Resort in Kissimmee. Is there transportation from outside hotels to the WDW parks and back?We are getting rental car but I don't want to drive to the parks if I dont have to.

    Hi Jen,

    Many of the local hotels situated outside Walt Disney World property offer shuttles to and from the Disney theme parks.  You will have to contact the resort where you'll be staying to get the details regarding their shuttle schedule. 

    Unless the shuttle service at your hotel runs frequently throughout the day, I think you are better off to drive your rental car.  Then you have it at your disposal whenever you wish to return to your room.  It can be very frustrating to wait for a shuttle when you and your family members are tired.  A rental car can be especially handy when you are visiting Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  (The Magic Kingdom parking lot is pretty far from the park's main gates so the day you visit the Magic Kingdom would be a good day to take the hotel shuttle, if one exists).
