My son will be visiting Disney World over spring break with a group of high school friends. One of the friends he is traveling with is a military dependent, would his friend be able to purchase a ticket for himself and my son to get the military discount?

Hello from one fellow Texan to another!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am so excited to read that your son will be visiting Walt Disney World this March!  I am quite sure he is going to have a most MAGICAL time with his friends and this will be a trip they will all remember for years to come.

When you purchase military discount tickets directly from Disney, a valid military identification card must be presented upon arrival and must be from an eligible service member or his/her spouse.  However, it sounds like the eligible parents will not be joining him which, in turn, makes this impossible.  The good news is that tickets for Walt Disney World can be purchased at a local military base for eligible folks and purchasing one for your son should not be a problem.

Please come and visit with me again should any new questions or concerns pop-up.  Let's make sure this trip is a MAGICAL one!

Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON!"
