My son is visiting Disney World with his mother. I'm a Florida resident and purchased a Florida resident ticket. His mother is not a Florida resident. What will my son (8yo), and his mother need to bring in order to pick up his tickets at will call?

    Hiya Ryan,

Welcome to planDisney! I hope your son is going to have the most magical time at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Is your son as big a fan of Toy Story as some of my fairy godchildren? If he is, then he will absolutely love dining at the newly opened Roundup Rodeo BBQ. Nothing is more fun for a Toy Story fan than dining like you are one of Andy’s toys. The entire Toy Story Land is excellent for “toys,” both young and old.

Great question, Ryan, about Theme Park tickets with the Florida Resident rate! It is excellent that Florida Residents can purchase Theme Park tickets for Guests under 18 like your son. What to do after your purchase the tickets can sometimes be a bigger question mark. So even though you do not have to be present during your son’s visit to the Theme Parks, you will need to be present to activate the tickets at Guest Relations with your valid proof of Florida residency. You can do this by either stopping at the Theme Parks on the first day of your son’s visit or heading to Disney Springs Guest Services location beforehand. I personally prefer stopping by Disney Springs because it saves me from having to pay for parking at the Theme Parks if I hadn’t already planned to visit the Theme Parks. I also love stopping by Gideon’s Bakehouse for cookies after I pick up my tickets.

I hope this was helpful, Ryan. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
