My son and I will be visiting Disney world for the very first time the week of Christmas and I wanted to know do I need to pay to reserve a table at one of the table restaurants? If so where do I go to find out the different prices?

    Hi Kenyata!

    Thanks for your question!

So glad to hear that you and your son will be visiting Disney World for the first time! Of the many milestones in my life, I can remember crystal clear my first Disney vacation. As Disney is simply "The Happiest Place on Earth," I'm sure you and your son will have an experience that will last a lifetime! :-)

So in general, most table service dining reservations do not require payment just to reserve. You will have to add your credit card details, but you aren't charged at time of reservation, and you can always cancel if you can't make it (be sure to check the cancellation policy at your restaurant of choice, as some may differ). There are, however, certain dining experiences that do require that payment be made beforehand. Some examples are:

    *Cinderella's Royal Table
*Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
    *Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

In terms of pricing, some restaurants will list general pricing in their menus. When you go to the Disney Dining page listing all of the restaurants, click on your restaurant of interest and see if they have a menu listed. If you click on that menu, it will typically show the average cost to eat for an adult or child there.

Hope this provides you with some insight. Wishing you and your son a magical time on your first Disney trip! Congrats!
