My son will be visiting Anaheim the week of Dec 13 from Nebraska. I want to be sure that Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance will be available for Disney Resort guests - they are the two rides he wants. How can I make sure they will be available?

    Howdy Ron!

Welcome to planDisney!  Thank you for stopping by and sharing this great question with us!

I hope your son is ready for an out-of-this-world experience in just a couple of weeks!  As your son explores Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, he will be whisked away to an experience of a lifetime in the settlement of Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu!  During his visit, he will have the opportunity to fly the Millennium Falcon on “Smugglers Run.”  I took a moment to place a link in the text above so that you can see all the details about this thrilling flight!  At this time, this attraction is up and running.  Since attractions can be shut down temporarily for many reasons, we never know if this attraction will be running during your son’s visit.  “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” is currently offering a virtual queue.  Your son will need to click into his Disneyland mobile app to join a boarding group.  He will be able to see all the details of joining the virtual queue from his Disneyland mobile app and the “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” highlighted link above!  All attractions are susceptible to a temporary shut down during your son’s visit, but Mickey always does his best to keep everything up and running!

I know your son will have a BLAST during his visit to a land far, far, away!  While visiting the Black Spire Outpost, he can enjoy the galactic yummy food offerings!  The Ronto Wrap at the “Ronto Roasters” is a must-have for my sons!  They are also big “Milk Stand” fans!  Your son can decide if he is standing with team Blue Milk or team Green Milk!  We are a Blue Milk family, but several of our friends are on team Green Milk!  The “Milk Stand” is always a fun experience!

Check the Disney Parks Blog for updates on everything as your son is preparing for his out-of-this-world adventure!  If you have any more questions, please come back to planDisney!  We look forward to helping you again, Ron!

    See Ya Real Soon,
