Hi there, Amanda!
Welcome to planDisney; thanks for bringing your question our way.
You’re going to be making such precious memories with your son that will last a lifetime. There’s something so special about seeing the magic through your Mouseketeer’s eyes. I love that Walt Disney World Resort offers services like
Disability Access Service (DAS) to help Guests who cannot wait in a traditional queue feel comfortable and enjoy the magic. I, too, have a Mouseketeer who uses the service, and it brings my heart so much joy that the theme parks provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for him; I hope you’ll find that to be the case with you and your son.
Amanda, I called the
Disability Services line and spoke to a friendly Cast Member about your excellent question. They told me that Guests must be inside the theme park to continue booking new DAS selections. I recommend you make a DAS selection before you leave the park for your break, as it won’t expire until the end of the day or until you and your son use it.
Did you know that Guests can now
pre-register for DAS using the live video chat feature? Guests can pre-register as soon as 30 days before a park visit but at least two days before arrival. Also, the registering Guest utilizing DAS will need to be present during the video chat. During the call, you’ll be able to work with a Cast Member to pre-select up to 2 experiences per day of your visit, subject to availability. You’ll also be able to make additional DAS selections on the day of your visit through your
My Disney Experience Mobile App.
Wishing you and your son an enchanting visit, Amanda!
Aena
