My son is only 2 and we want to take him but unsure how much he could do. Should we wait until he is bigger or go now?

  • Hi!

It is my firm belief that a child is never too young for a Walt Disney World vacation! Even if your child is too young to remember his first trip to Walt Disney World, you as parents will remember it and you will have photos of your amazing vacation to show him when he gets older.  Often people try to do too much on their Walt Disney World vacation especially if they have young children. Here are some of my best tips to avoid overloading your 2 year old on your Walt Disney World vacation:

    1. Do your research about the parks before you get to Walt Disney World and choose the rides and attractions that your family and child will enjoy the most.

    2. Get up early every morning to go to the theme parks. Make sure that you get there at least 30 minutes before the park is scheduled to open on that day.

    3. Head back to your Resort in the middle of the day, when the parks are the most crowded, to take a nap or just relax especially since you have a young child.

    4. Try to keep your child on his or her normal schedule while at Walt Disney World (eating times and nap times)

    5. Schedule a nice sit down dinner in a park or even outside the parks everyday and take your time enjoying a great meal.

    6. Realize that you can't do everything on one vacation so make a "must do" list and a "maybe" list and concentrate on those things.

    7. Realize that your child's best memory might just be swimming at the Resort pool or some other miscellaneous thing that doesn't seem very important or special to an adult, so if your child is interested in something then definitely stop and spend time there!

    8. Ask us Moms and Dads more questions as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation!

I hope that you make many magical memories with your family on your vacation in Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
