My son is type 1 Diabetic and is insulin dependent. I am bringing a doctors note to the park just in case but his insulin needs to stay refrigerated. Is there a guest service where you have a cool place to store his medicine while we are in the park. TYI

Hello there, Chris. Thanks for taking the time to visit us on planDisney. Welcome!

I bet you’re excited for your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. As a pediatric RN, I can understand the importance in planning ahead when traveling with your son. Hakuna Matata, Chris! There is a First Aid center in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. When you’re in Disneyland Park, the First Aid center is located next to the Baby Center at the end of Main Street, U.S.A.  Over at Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll find the First Aid center next to the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street. You can store your son’s insulin vials in the medicine refrigerator while you and your family enjoy the day. Nurses are available during normal park operating hours should any medical needs arise.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Chris. If you have additional questions in planning your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort, please don’t hesitate to write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
