Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emily!
My daughter has always been very tall for her age. So much so, in fact, that my little thrill-seeker was riding roller coasters by the time she was 3 years old. You can rest assured that you won't have any trouble entering the parks with your little one. A Cast Member may ask how old your son is, but that is generally the only delay you will encounter. You can bring along a copy of his birth certificate if you are especially concerned, but I can almost guarantee you won't need it.
If you and your son both feel comfortable, you might want to try out some attractions with shorter height restrictions. Kids that are at least 32" tall can drive the car at
Tomorrowland Speedway as long as they are accompanied by an adult who is at least 54" tall. My daughter drove her first speedster when she was 3 years old and it was so much fun! The cars are on a track so there is no worry that they will go off course and the kids have a blast steering an actual car.
The Barnstormer is another great option for taller little ones. Riders need to be at least 35" tall and this short, but exhilarating little roller coaster is a great way to introduce kids to thrill attractions. To find all attractions open to your son, sort the
Attractions page by height.
If you have any other questions, please stop by again!
