Welcome to planDisney, Lauren. And happy early birthday to your son!
Now
this is how you celebrate a birthday. Not only will he be at the
Walt Disney World Resort (
and Disney's Hollywood Studios at that), but he'll also be getting his very own
Annual Pass. I don't know that I could think of a better way to celebrate. Make sure you hop on over to
Magic Kingdom Park at some point on your trip as
Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens on his birthday! See? Even the
Walt Disney Imagineers know how to celebrate his birthday in style!
In order to use an
Annual Pass, it must be activated at a
Guest Relations location outside one of the theme parks or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. In addition, as you know being an
Annual Passholder yourself, you'll need to secure a
Theme Park Reservation for him for Disney's Hollywood Studios to visit. At the time of answering this question,
only Magic Kingdom Park is fully booked on June 28, 2024, but of course, that can change. Just note that you can likely purchase the Annual Pass
before he turns 3, secure his theme park reservation, and then just activate on the day he turns 3! The year his pass is valid doesn't start until he actually scans into his first park.
You probably already know about Celebration Buttons, but I think you should pick one up at Guest Relations while you're activating his pass. After all, it's his birthday, and everyone should know it! Cast Members are usually very good at wishing the Guests wearing these buttons a happy birthday and so are some fellow Guests. I know I make sure to send my best wishes. It's just the magic of being at the resort...it's contagious!
Lauren, have a great visit!
Be sure to reach out with any other questions.
The most fantastic, magical things can happen, and it all starts with a wish,
