Hi there, Kristen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner. How exciting!
As a mom of two children who have always been tall for their age, I certainly understand your concern. Your 2-year-old will not be charged theme park admission since children under the age of 3 are considered Guests of Mickey Mouse. You will not be required to show proof of age for your 2-year-old. The theme parks work on an honor system when it comes to the ages of young Guests, and I've never personally seen a Cast Member ask to see a child's birth certificate. I've taken all four of my kiddos at least twice before their 3rd birthday and have never been asked to show proof of age. That being said, if it would ease your mind to bring a copy of his birth certificate, I don't think it ever hurts to be prepared.
Since your son will not require theme park admission, you will not be able to book
FastPass+ selections for him. Simply let the Cast Member know at the entrance of the attraction that your little one is under the age of 3. During your FastPass+ window, your little Mouseketeer will be able to enter the
FastPass+ entrance with you as long as he meets the minimum height requirement for that specific attraction. You'll be amazed at just how many attractions and entertainment options your
little one will be able to experience at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I hope this information has been helpful to you, Kristen. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip for your family!
