Hi, My son turns 3 on 3/15 and we are coming to the park on 3/5. Will I need to provide his birth certificate at the gate? He is big (Tall) so I’m concerned the gate cast members will give us trouble before entering.

    Hi Chad,

How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner! And your son is at an amazing age for a visit. I was at Magic Kingdom earlier this month with friends who have a daughter your son's age. Seeing her face when she rode Dumbo the Flying Elephant, met Rapunzel and Tiana and tasted a Dole Whip was priceless!

Your son will not need a birth certificate or proof of age. If anyone asks, just let them know that he's a few days away from his third birthday. He won't need an admission ticket. If you have a FastPass+ reservation for any of the 80+ rides and attractions that are appropriate for little ones, he can accompany you into the queue without a FastPass of his own.

Your son also can eat free at any of the all-you-care-to-eat buffets or family-style dining restaurants. Or you won't need to pay for him if he shares from your plate. Just be sure to include him in the headcount when you make the reservation so that the restaurant can be sure to save you an appropriate table.

You will find lots of tips and ideas for making your vacation special in this guide for visiting with preschoolers and little ones

Thanks for your question, Chad. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as your departure date nears. Enjoy your time with your little guy at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
