My son will be turning 5 on our 1st trip. He wants to go to HS on his Bday. He is an extreme star wars fan, we know about fighting darth vader, but is there any other ideas you could give me to make this a fab. star wars bday. thank you so much!!!

If his birthday is in June, you can take advantage of Star Wars Weekend.

If it isn't, there is plenty to celebrate for those in touch with the force! In addition to the Jedi Training, in the same area of Disney's Hollywood Studios is the Star Tours attraction which is popular with future Jedis! Once you exit the ride, you'll discover an amazing Star Wars gift shop called Tatooine Traders that is filled with all sorts of amazing Star Wars merchandise like being able to build your own light saber and have special photos taken as Star Wars characters. There are also some fantastic photo ops around this area where your son can pretend to ride a speeder bike. Sometimes, there are some characters from the movies around and about. You can check with Guest Services to see if any are scheduled for the day.

Downtown Disney also has a store called Once Upon a Toy that has some Star Wars merchandise and another chance to build light sabers. And don't hesitate to request a special birthday cake for him if you are planning on dining at a table service restaurant that day and to register his birthday if you are celebrating in 2009.

And finally, I actually made a video with my son on hints on how to get selected for the Jedi training. Click here and go to the 2nd page of videos; it is marked Jedi Training Academy.  I thought the hints may be helpful!
