My son is turning 1 on Sept 15th, I would like to have a birthday breakfast/ lunch with the disney characters? Where would you recommend and what's the price range for 5-8 adults? Does this include a cake or cupcake? Thanks.

    Hi Sherrida,

Disney World is the most magical place ever to celebrate a 1st birthday! I'd recommend either Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort or The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom (MK). Both are buffets & offer something for everyone.

Your son can meet Mickey & his friends (Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto & Goofy) at Chef Mickey's.  Pooh & his friends appear at The Crystal Palace.

During your visit, Chef Mickey's will be serving breakfast but not lunch. Current prices are $30.88 for adults & $17.03 for ages 3 - 9 so your son's meal will be free.

You can enjoy breakfast or lunch at The Crystal Palace. The current price for breakfast is $28.75 for adults & $15.97 for ages 3 - 9.  For lunch, its $30.88 for adults & $17.03 for ages 3 - 9.  If you decide to go with The Crystal Palace, theme park admission for MK is required & not included in the cost of dining.

Both locations bring out a cupcake for the birthday guest.  You can also request a chocolate or vanilla 6-inch celebration cake when you arrive for your reservation.  Current cost is $21.00.

For a more specialized cake, specialty celebration cakes are available for an additional charge & should be ordered 48 hours in advance by calling 407-827-2253.  Advanced dining reservations are required.

Please keep in mind that all of these prices are always subject to change without notice.

Because many dining locations book up fast, I'd recommend making your dining reservations as soon as possible. You can do that online by clicking here or calling 407-WDW-DINE.

Wishing your son many magical birthday memories :-) Allison
